Example system Pharma and food logistics
Keep every shipment between 2 and 8 °C.
Sense. Temperature, door openings, compressor load and position from every truck and cold room, held on the device whenever the signal drops.
Illustrative system. Simulated data, not client results.
Inside the engineering
The problem
Cold-chain failures are usually discovered at the destination, when the logger is read and the load is already lost. Medicines and food are written off, and proving what happened takes days of paperwork.
Why it is hard
- 01Trucks lose signal on the road, so data arrives late and out of order.
- 02Every vehicle and cold room behaves differently in heat.
- 03Loggers from different vendors speak different formats.
- 04Regulators expect an unbroken, tamper-evident record for every shipment.
What we build
From signal to decision.
- 01
Sense
Connected loggers and door sensors, or integration with the ones you already own. Store-and-forward on the device, so nothing is lost in a dead zone.
- 02
Learn
A thermal model per vehicle and room that combines physics with a sequence model trained on your history. It knows how fast each one warms with the doors open in July.
- 03
Predict
A temperature forecast for every load in transit, re-run as each reading arrives, with the time to the limit and the effect of each alternative route.
- 04
Act
Warnings to dispatch and drivers, suggested reroutes, and an audit-ready record for every shipment, signed and timestamped.
Before we start
What needs to be in place.
- Loggers that report at least every few minutes, or the budget to fit them.
- Route and delivery data from your dispatch system.
- A few months of history to tune each vehicle’s model, or a month of new data.
How the project runs
From survey to live.
Fixed price once the specification is agreed. Every repository, model and account is yours from the first day.
- Survey1–2 weeksVehicles, rooms, loggers, and the compliance rules that apply to your loads.
- Connect2–4 weeksLoggers, dispatch integration and store-and-forward, tested on real routes.
- Model4–6 weeksPer-vehicle thermal models, with forecasts checked against what actually happened.
- Go live1–2 weeksAlerts, reroute suggestions and compliance records, handed over with runbooks.
